your first visit

Step 1: Let’s GO Meet the Team → First, you’ll be greeted with a smile from our friendly team. (That will never change. We’ll always be happy to see you!)

You’ll meet with one of our new patient coordinators, who will give you a tour of the office and get to know a little bit about you. Once you’re comfortable with your surroundings, we’re ready to begin your orthodontic exam!

Step 2: Let’s GO Get X-rays & Photos → Next, one of our experienced orthodontic assistants will use the advanced iTero® handheld scanner to take quick digital impressions of your teeth and bite. 

The iTero device produces quick, easy, comfortable digital impression scan (no goopy putty necessary) but it also allows you to preview your predicted treatment results before you begin treatment! You’ll be able to see a digital simulation of your new smile at your very first visit. 

We’ll take digital x-rays with our low-radiation x-ray machine.  If needed, a CBCT scan will be taken to assess areas of concern. 

Your orthodontist will use these diagnostic photos, digital impression scan and x-rays to create your personalized treatment plan! 

Step 3: Let’s GO Meet Your Orthodontist → Then, we’ll head over to our consultation room where you’ll meet your orthodontist! Dr. Gililland, Dr. O’Bannon, Dr. Gonder or Dr. Radford will perform a detailed exam of your teeth and bite. 

Your orthodontist will discuss all of his or her findings with you, present you with our treatment options, and discuss what you can expect throughout your orthodontic journey. 

We’ll answer all of your questions and tell you everything you need to know about your braces or Invisalign® treatment.  

Step 4: Let’s GO Pick an Affordable Payment Plan →  While your orthodontist is creating your very own personalized treatment plan, our new patient coordinator will sit down with you and work out a financial plan to cover the cost of treatment. 

We’ll discuss your needs, calculate your insurance benefit, review our office policies, and develop a payment plan with low monthly payments. We’ll also show you how you can use our convenient online patient portal to check your payment history and see current charges. 

Step 5: Let’s GO Start Your Transformation → Now, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! GO Orthodontics is proud to be one of the only orthodontists in the state offering Same Day Starts. 

That means you won’t have to wait until your next appointment to start treatment. If you choose braces, your orthodontist can place your braces during your first visit.

If you choose Invisalign clear aligners, we can take your digital impression scan at your first visit, and begin the process to create your custom clear aligners!
